Disaster Risk and FNMA Multifamily Loans

I have recently decided that I need to incorporate a spatial element to my presentations.  There are many reasons for this, but the main reason is that presenting data in a map helps bring the analyst to a much deeper understanding of the risks involved.  For FNMA multifamily loans, there is a heavy exposure to the southwest.  This means that there is a heavy exposure to disaster risks including fires and earthquakes.  There is also a large exposure on the east coast of Texas, an area prone to epochal flooding.

The package I use is from The Urban Institute.   The data is from Fannie Mae.
